Patek Philippe women's collections are both unveiled
Now, Patek Philippe has gone a step further and introduced a second addition to the Aquanaut Luce collection: a chronograph. In 2009, the manufacturer introduced the new proprietary manual-winding chronograph movement CH 29-535 PS with a classic construction for the first time in a cushion-shaped ladies case (Ref. 7071 Ladies First Chronograph). Today, this new movement is featured in the very feminine Ref. 7150/250R-001 Calatrava Ladies Chronograph. In turn, the new Aquanaut Luce is Patek Philippe's first ladies' watch with a self-winding chronograph movement - the ideal companion for this sporty, elegant and casual timepiece.

With the pusher at 4 o'clock, the flyback function can start a new measurement at any time, even if the swept chronograph hand is already measuring the duration of an event or is being used as a continuously running seconds hand.
The magic of the jeweler's art
In addition to the garland of brilliant-cut diamonds, Aquanaut Luce has launched several jewellery versions in which the unique case design complements the precious gemstone setting for a unique radiant pairing. referee. The 5062/450R-001 Aquanaut Luce haute joaillerie combines some of the most complex gem-setting techniques (snow setting, invisible setting), while the bezel of the Ref. 5072R-001 Aquanaut Luce High Jewellery watch is decorated with baguette diamonds, lacquered and engraved The mother-of-pearl dial presents a subtle checkerboard effect.
For the first Aquanaut Luce with a chronograph, Patek Philippe has chosen a completely new path, combining gemstones of different colors. This gem-setting form has been used on women's models such as the Ref. 7002/450G-013 (2016) High Jewellery Minute Repeater "Symphony of the Seasons": Pavé diamond dial with coloured sapphires, Ref. 4898/1450G-010 "Diablotine" High Jewellery model inspired by Art Deco (Introduced on the occasion of the 2017 Patek Philippe Show in New York). Its uniform consists of 2059 gems of various colors.
For a new reference. 7968/300R-001 Aquanaut Luce "Rainbow" Chronograph, Patek Philippe chose true rainbow colors. The octagonal bezel is decorated with two rows of baguette-cut stones. The inner row consists of 40 flawless and rare Top Wesselton White Diamonds (2.05 cts). Slightly sloped outer layer, set with 40 iridescent sapphires (2.31 ct). Each of them has been carefully sel ected to ensure a perfect transition from one nuanced color to another. For this two-row arrangement, Patek Philippe opted for the delicate "invisible setting" technique, in which the gemstone is scored horizontally on the lower facet. They can then be set on "metal rails" that are not visible fr om the outside.
The colour continues on the mother-of-pearl dial engraved with the typical Aquanaut pattern. The twelve rose gold applied hour-markers are baguette sapphires (0.31 ct), the subtle colour of which matches the colour on the dial. Rod-shaped hands with luminous rose gold make the hours and minutes quick and easy to read.
The case diameter is 39.9 mm. The two chronograph pushers are hand polished and satin-finished by the manufacturer's artisans. In full compliance with the instructions of the Patek Philippe seal, the Calibre CH 28-520 movement has also been carefully polished. It can be seen through the sapphire crystal case back.
To satisfy all wishes and moods, the watch comes with three straps made of highly durable composite material - one in red (original version) and two in matte beige and matte white. Patented Patek Philippe folding clasp set with ten baguette diamonds (0.36 ct).
